We welcomed Katie Piper to present Bristol Fashion Week SS18, a celebration of fashion for everyone!
How was SS18 different?
- Fashion guru Mark Heyes was doing what he does best dishing out expert trend, colour and styling advice live on stage, demonstrating the power of fashion to uplift and inspire confidence from within.
- Mark was joined on presenting duties by best-selling author, TV presenter, speaker and charity campaigner Katie Piper. As a role model to millions, she embodies all that Bristol Fashion Week SS18 represents and her insight was an inspiration to all.
- All shows, for the first time, were fully accessible for our deaf audience with a sign language interpreter.
- We also brought back our much-loved dancers and children by popular demand, providing holiday fun for all the family
The Katie Piper Foundation
Bristol Fashion Week SS18 supported Katie Piper’s organisation, The Katie Piper Foundation, which was the official charity for SS18. The Foundation’s aim is to have a world where scars do not limit a person’s function, social inclusion or sense of well-being. You can learn more about what they do here
Be Real Body Image Pledge
Bristol Fashion Week SS18 signed up to the Be Real Body Image Pledge, part of the Be Real Campaign from the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Body Image (APPG). The pledge calls for the responsible portrayal of body image by the advertising, fashion, media and music industries. As such, from SS18 onwards BFW’s messaging, campaigns and catwalk shows will reflect reality, diversity and promote health and well-being.
