HERE COME THE BOYS

With X male models on the catwalk, Bristol Fashion Week will showcase some fresh looks in menswear for Spring and Summer. Here, host Mark Heyes shares his tips on how to work three high street trends to your advantage.

Spring into Summer can be a tricky time fashion wise. For a start, we can never be exactly sure what the weather has in store. Lucky for us menfolk, these three key trends from the high street collections cover all bases, from overalls to short shorts. Wear them out!

Boiler suits

The ladies have been loving their jumpsuits for the past few seasons – now it’s time for the men to jump on the trend. Looking sharp has rarely been so simple. Boiler suits were featured at Prada, Stella McCartney and
Alexander McQueen this season. You’ll find one of the best at TopMan.

Hawaii Five-O

Don’t save florals, fronds and Caribbean vibes for barbecue weather – these feel good prints and fabrics will fill the greyest day with style and confidence. Team up your aloha shirts with cargo shorts, cycling shorts, skinny jeans or baggies. Tuck it in or keep it loose – hats and shades are optional.

Sporty Moment

Long live the sportswear trend – the look that means you don’t need to be fit to be fit! Comfort meets couture is one of my favourite pairings and track suits with bold colours and strong stripes tick all the boxes. This season, bowling shirts make the move from alley to catwalk. Their trademark loose fit, elbow length sleeves, cuban collars and team stripes hit all the pins. Strike!

These are just some of the new season high street trends for men you’ll see on the catwalk at Bristol Fashion Week. Book your tickets now.
