Bristol Fashion Week SS17 trend report: Lines

Bristol Fashion Week SS17 trend report: Lines

Get In Line

One trend that never goes away is the perennial stripe! From Burberry to Proenza Schouler (and everyone in between!) lines dominated the SS17 catwalks and the high street has followed suit. Thick, thin, horizontal and variegated, this wearable trend comes in many forms this season but the vertical stripe is emerging as champion to set the look apart from the more nautical feel of last year.

Twin it to win it

New Look top £22, Trousers £20

Go bold and wear your stripes head to toe to show you're in the know for S/S. With their linear stripes and strong tones these New Look co-ords will do very nicely... And if you're feeling brave make like Marques' Almeida and finish the look with a contrasting stripe boot!

Contrasting is key

Whistles, £130

If all over stripes fill you with fear, this Whistles top will do the trick instead! With it's contrasting lines, colours and widths it's everything stripes should be this season and with those cut-away shoulders you're getting two trends for the price of one. Bargain!

Pyjama party

River Island, £38

Burberry hit an altogether more decadent, period note with their striped pyjama style shirts and pants. These River Island versions could pass fo the real thing so snap them up before they go! Perfect now with a Burberry inspired aviator and light enough to stay cool in summer. Job done!
