Hey shorty it's your birthday...It may be hard to believe but this summer Bristol legend and all round animation hero Morph hits the big 4-0! To celebrate this very special birthday, The Grand Appeal have teamed up with Aardman animations for another summer blockbuster exhibition in their Gromit Unleashed store at The Mall.
The exhibition will run from July 14th until September 5th, celebrating animation giants Peter Lord and David Sproxton’s beloved character. Fans will have the opportunity to delve into the world of Morph and Chas through a whole host of interactive activities and exclusive new sculptures.
News of the exhibition broke earlier this month with the arrival of Mega Morph to the streets of Bristol! Standing at a mighty three metres, MegaMorph is a giant sculpture of the beloved character, proudly sponsored by The Mall. He’s been popping up at landmark locations across Bristol but will end his tour on July 10 at The Mall where you’ll be able to catch him all summer, standing guard at the top of the garden.
Entrance to the exhibition at The Mall is free, with a suggested donation of £2 to Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal. Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase a range of exclusive exhibition merchandise, with all profits going to the charity.
‘Morph: Still Naughty at 40!’ opens at 9.30am on Friday 14th July and follows on from The Grand Appeal’s hugely successful public arts trails ‘Gromit Unleashed’ and ‘Shaun in the City’ which drew 2.3m people to Bristol, raising over £8 million to date for sick children.
