Fashion Students Display Great Design Talent
Thirteen talented fashion students from colleges and universities across the South West and South Wales have been chosen as finalists in The Mall's Student Fashion Design Competition in association with Sebastian Professional.

The 13 finalists are Hannah Semmens of the University of the West of England, Sabrina Deans, Cheyenne Brown and Kelly O'Neill at Filton College, Lisa Bilotti at City of Bristol College, Kate Bohun, Nicola Willey, Amber Pritchard and Sophie Lamarque at Somerset College of Art & Technology, Aimée Davies of the University of Wales (Newport), Victoria Hall and Amelia Mahoney of Wiltshire College and Brenda Marshall of Gloucestershire College of Art.
The students now have five months to transform their designs into finished outfits, ready for the final round of judging during The Mall's Fashion Week in October. The short-listed designs were all based on the competition theme The Four Seasons.
The judging panel was led by Antonia Schofield, a designer at John Lewis, who reviewed all the entries with a professional designer's eye. She was joined by The Mall's marketing manager Sue Boor and account director Maria Crayton, together with Susie Weldon, women's editor of the Western Daily Press.

At the final stage of judging on the evening of Tuesday 4th October, the panel will be joined by The Mall's Fashion Week host Nicky Hambleton-Jones, personal stylist and presenter of Channel 4's hit series Ten Years Younger.
