The Mall is designed to be easily accessible for all our visitors. For those who need some assistance getting around The Mall, we provide a number of facilities to make your visit as enjoyable as possible:

  • 200 disabled parking spaces all round The Mall, giving flat access into both levels of the centre
  • AccessAbility
  • Large electric doorways
  • Wide malls
  • Lifts with low level controls near the central fountain and at both ends of The Mall,
    as well as in John Lewis and Marks & Spencer
  • Disabled toilets in our five toilet blocks, each with an alarm response system
  • Low-level counters in our Food Court
  • Staff at our Information Desk will be happy to help you during your visit

Where is AccessAbility?
AccessAbility is located at The Mall, on the lower level of Car Park K, between John Lewis and Boots. It is accessible via Highwood Lane or Merlin Road and is open throughout our shopping hours.

What is Available?
AccessAbility provides FREE use of manual or electric wheelchairs and scooters. On your arrival, our staff will be able to recommend the best form of support to meet your individual needs. The wheelchairs and scooters are very easy to use and we’ll be happy to assist you with a practice session before you set off. We can also adapt the electric wheelchairs to suit your requirements. You are welcome to use your wheelchair or scooter at The Mall, The Venue and The Retail Park, giving you easy access to the many superb shops, restaurants and leisure facilities here at Cribbs Causeway.

Booking in advance  

Our equipment is offered on a first come, first served basis.

We therefore recommend that you telephone AccessAbility on 0117 915 5326 before your visit to discuss your requirements and book your equipment.

Alternatively, you may book in advance using the form below. We will email or telephone you to confirm that your equipment has been reserved.

If you are booking equipment over the weekend for a visit on Monday, we recommend that you telephone AccessAbility on 0117 915 5326 to avoid disappointment.

Please remember to bring some form of identification with you, for example your driving licence or a passport.

For your own safety and comfort please read and sign the following terms of issue:

  1. The equipment will remain under my supervision whilst in my use at Cribbs Causeway.
  2. I agree it will only be used within defined areas of The Mall, Retail Park and/or Venue, using only the interior pathways, and will not use buggies on an escalator.
  3. I will ensure that I will be the only person using the equipment and that no passengers will be carried. Buggies are for the use of a single child from the age of 3 months.
  4. I will return the scooter/wheelchair /buggy to AccessAbility at or before closing time
  5. In the event of not returning a scooter/wheelchair/buggy, I will be liable to pay the replacement value of the equipment.

Scooters and wheelchairs only

  1. If the scooter is left unattended I will park it safely and remove the keys
  2. I am capable and competent to operate the scooter/wheelchair. I have discussed my needs with a member of staff and accept their recommendation for the most suitable scooter/wheelchair
  3. I will notify Mall staff of any future changes to my health e.g. eyesight, that may affect my abilities to use any loaned equipment.
